I was blessed to receive the Cultural Runner-up Championship for two consecutive years. That said, PHEW, it was truly hectic and I’m not gonna lie, few times it got to my head!
So a typical odd-semester for a culturally-(pro)active person like me in SSSIHL consists of a lot of programs, presentations and competitions, apart from the usual academic stuff like exams and assignments, which obviously top priority (yeah right). In other words, IT WAS HECTIC. No I’m not talking about the schedule. We literally had to hunt for time without compensating on the tasks already at hand. If that gets sorted out, you will be met with other challenges like restricted internet access, limited resources and you can keep adding to the list.
But wait, I am not complaining! I am explaining, because that’s when a true achiever is made. When he is put under a restricted situation, he will reroute and reach his goal. When he is given limited resources, he will devise new ways to maximise his resources to get to his end goal (he = me in this case).
It is not the reward that matters, but the process.
